Default Surgery postponed

I was scheduled for the surgery yesterday and was fully dopped up on a gurney outside the operating room, when the nurse came out to tell me that Dr. Bethune's last surgery took longer than they thought and he had run out of time........so, they wheeled me out of there, all drugged up. it sucked

Anyways am rescheduled for Nov 13th, so I guess I will get as much done between now and then as possible. Thanks so much to Mucker and Brian Walker for all there support and information.

That really does stink - never heard of getting THAT close and then sent home! Does that mean you are billed for yesterday's expenses as well as the 13th? Wouldn't surprise me in the least!

I would be thinking seriously about calling Dr Bethune's office and asking (nicely, but firmly) that someone ELSE be moved to the 13th, and my surgery be done right away, as I was mentally prepared and had people lined up, etc, etc, all for the original date. You should be in as soon as possible, not as soon as convenient for them. But unless you speak up, they will do what's best for them, not for you.

If you don't mind waiting til the 13th, then it really doesn't matter, but I know how I had steeled myself for the surgery, and made so many preparations, and to have had the rug pulled out from under me literally at the last moment, then told it would be three more weeks, would have had me at the end of my rope!

Will keep you in my thoughts!

omg

that would really be upsetting!!! But maybe God is protecting you in some way, and in some way it wasn't meant to be for that day, so acceptance...and thanks...and looking forward to the new day.

wow, I can't imagine that happening. I hope you are doing something special with your waiting time. Yikes! I was irritated that they moved my surgery up an hour and that we had to arrive at 6:30 am but this could really throw a person off. I too like the idea of phoning and requesting that your surgery time be traded and let someone else wait another month.
