Hi everyone ! I am sooo sorry for not getting back to people (pm's) and such.
I have been in Florida for quite some time taking care of my mother and father (she is so much better now) She had major back surgery in February.. I stayed till May.. came home to Mass for a few months (I was dealing with SSI issues and medical issues ) then went back down in August for 2 months and now I am home for good !

I have ALOT of things to tell everyone ... I can tell you that my TOS has gotten ALOT worse to the point that I can't even type anymore without the swelling and the shoulder pain and that is why I haven't written in a long time till now. I have a new wrist splint that I am trying out and so far so good. I still can't type for too long so if I sign off early I will pick back up again tomorrow.

I had alot of testing done in between me flying and a bone scan that I had done came up with evidence that I have RSD ( Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy).. I am now with a pain mgmt doc and things seem to be somewhat o.k... I am getting a nerve block done in December.. and if possible, trying Acupunkchure (?).. I also hired a new Attorney while I was home. I saw him in August and he immediately said he would take my SSI and SSDI case ( he specializes in Federal cases ) So I filed in Federal Court in August AND filed a new claim to SSI and SSDI !

The previous lawyer I had I now know did NOT do a thing for me !! This time around with this new lawyer.... things went alot better... I GOT APPROVED !

I got a call yesterday that I had been approved for SSI and SSDI ! Now for the waiting game on funds that go back to 2004 !

I have to say that without this site, the people in this forum and other forums I would have NEVER gotten to where I am today in my medical condition and my legal issues.

Anyway, I am one happy girl today and things are finally looking up for me . I can now type a little bit longer so I can finally get on this board again !! I have only been able to read here for a long time ( didn't have a computer in Florida ) so it's nice to be able to post again !

I was lucking in the respect that I didn't have to wait for my pay checks or back pay it came within 3 months of approval... I hope you have the same luck...

Gibbn... Your in LA ?? I hope you have a GREAT time and everyone else too ! I am jealous of everyone getting together ! We should set one up for New England TOSer's !!

It is so hard to put in words what everyone on this forum means to me and it is alot of the reason I am getting somewhere in my life ! So many times I could just read and not type (plus being without a computer) and now with the mix of meds and finally a Dr. that knows about TOS and RSD , I can at least type for a little bit ! I may not be done with SSI yet tho. I also filed in Federal Court so everyone keeps your fingers crossed that that Judge just vacates the complaint My lawyer says that I will keep getting benefits till this is over so that is great news to me !

And of course I am glad that I don't have to go back to Florida just yet, and that my parents are well now (it's been hard on me to take care of them !) But well worth it ! Hope you guys in Cali are o.k. and hope everyone else has a great week !
