Hi,

Double crush was mentioned to me by one of the many Dr's I have seen. I was lead to believe that I had double crush because I have nerve entrapment at C7. I also have disc protursion at C6. My neck gives me hell and brings on face pain and pressure in my head. I have been quite sick since Saturday (its wednesday night here!) I just cant seem to shift the headache / face pain, its driving me nuts. I hate taking the pain meds as it spaces me out, gives me a high for a few hours then I come crashing down to earth with the shi....s. TOS SUCKS!. Oh well had my whinge now. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Ozzy

Default I have triple crush on the right side.

I have had surgery on the left for TOS also for carpal tunnel release. I still have the numbness in the last 2 fingers on that side indicating the TOS surgery did not relieve all my compression because after my carpal tunnel the symptoms did get relieved for awhile in my hands until the TOS symptoms showed up. In my surgical report my surgeon referenced a higher 2nd rib as a possible culprit but did not remove it as he didnt think it was causing me problems...now I think it is. Also I get pain in the elbow as well and have had positive EMG studies for compression there... I will not have surgery for this unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Surgery is a big deal so you want as many opionins of which surgery to do first as possible and from doctors not lay people.
If it were me and the EMG studies showed compression in all 3 places I'd have the TOS surgery first...Its the worst one but its also the one that can effect all 3 places as well..

I was told by the chirpractor I've been going too that I have "double crush syndrome"

he believes I have carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet, fibromyalgia, bursitis, and a bunch of other things he mentioned. The thing is...I have no proof of any of it so I don't know if he's right. I have all the symptoms but...it's the but part that I worry about. I've read about double crush...it makes sense but a Doctor should make the diagnosis with the data needed.

Wishing I could think more positive and be well again!
