Merry Christmas to all!

I'm around...just been miserable lately. I'm trying to get in the Holiday spirit but it's hard. We went to a family party yesterday and I was in so much pain. I had to borrow a pillow and I just couldn't sit anywhere. The weather was rainy which didn't help. I was so tired and felt so sick. It's just totally not like me to be that way.

I'm also on some new medications which is helping some. I'm on Cymbalta and also Zanaflex. It seems to be giving me some relief. The pain is just too much. My surgery has been scheduled now for Jan 14th. It was supposed to be the 7th but had to get bumped a week. I'm hoping I will make it!

Happy Holidays!

I am here...Spent a lot of Christmas parties answering questions on how I am feeling since my surgery earelier this year. All I can answer is I am still in pain and docs feel it could be up to 2 years before I hit my max. recovery. And that no, I am not back at work yet! Sitting still at dinners and while chit-chatting was a chore, and I have been in a LOT of pain...of course, for some reason I never seemed to have my meds handy.

I start the new year off with a visit to my neuro, then I should be visiting with a new Physiatrist, finally and Pain Mgt Doc and a dietitian. I will be hitting PT, chiro and MT again and really going to put some effort into getting out to 2 or 3 aqua fit classes a week.

I hope everyone had a festive holiday season and I wish, for all of us, a more pain-free 2008!

Default I'm here too...

Hi Everyone,

I am still around as well. Got over the whole cancellation of surgery and had a grat Christmas. Pain levels are still the same and I am eager to get the surgery over with. Hopefully I will get in sometime in January.

Busy packing today, heading to Disney World tomorrow.

Wishing all of you a great, pain free New Year.

Take Care
Rach

Well, I'm back I guess I should say. WC has me in job placement for four months, trying to put me back into a job that started all this-but no one is listening to me about it.
I'm hosting Christmas and kind of looking forward to it...Okay so now that's over as I'm writing this on New Years Day-My niece, 20, from Dallas, said this was the first Christmas she has been at that my daughter, Mindy, and I didn't have a fight....She's in Texas, too so maybe that has something to do with it....We're not together every day.....
