Hi ,
How did her dx come about, was there a lot of testing {MRI, Xray, EMG/NCV positional and others}? What what are her primary symptoms? vascular related or nerve related, both? Was there any in our drs list near you? http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread135.html

I believe there was a good vascular surgeon, Dr. Harold C. Urschel Jr. . DOnt know if he is still there
And though I do not know whether he is good or not, Dr Nath at the Texas Nerve and Paralysis Institute in Houston. The Dellon INstitute (nerve surgeon) has a location in Dallas. You might want to consider a trip to Denver though, the TOS mecca of docs. Good luck |

she has had {MRI, MRA, EMG, ULTRASOUND, and Positional testing}. Also the dx heard a bruiti on both sides.
She has been suffering with shoulder, neck, and arm pain. Loss of pulse in the left hand. Lower temp. in left hand. We have seen several doctors in the Lake cahrles, LA. area with little help and are looking for a more experienced Thoracic doctor. |

Dr. Harold C. Urschel Jr., Baylor Medical Center Dallas Tx. did both of my 1st rib resections. I had the left side done Oct. 10 2007 and the right side done Nov. 28 2007. I was off work 13 weeks and have started back Jan. 7 on restricted duty (lift nothing over 5 lbs ).

Out of curisoty... if your still watching the boards... what was your opinion of Dr. Azizzadeh. PM me if you don't want to post it. I saw him a few weeks ago and am curious for another person's opinion.

Start looking around for a good PT who is experienced with TOS and a neurologist and/or pain management doctor too. Surgery, for those who will need it, is still only one piece of the TOS puzzle.
