Thanks, Richard! I guess it's been awhile since I've been on, eh?
The numbness in my hand and fingers has almost disappeared completely, so that is a very good thing. I was hoping (expecting) that my shoulder pain would also go away, or at least diminish, and that has not happened, so that is not a very good thing! My surgeon said the next step is to see a neurosurgeon and have my neck checked out. This was the first thing I did (four years ago) but what the heck, I'll give it a try. Actually, my neck was checked out by an orthopedic surgeon, so a neurosurgeon might have a different way of looking at things. |

Well some good news at least. Has the shoulder joint itself been checked for impingment, bursitis or tendonitis? Just a thought.

Had a bad week this week. After playing the organ at church on Sunday I was in alot of pain, and my fingers had gone numb by the time I played the last song, so it wasn't that great. A couple of hours later I played a show (musical theater) and by the end of that I was shot. I'm finally feeling better today. This is so frustrating! My arm and hand just feel like a less than useful appendage. Just sort of hangs there, heavy. |

Do you think an mri with contrast of the shoulder ( arthrogram ) might be appropriate to see if things have changed. A shoulder specialist is recommended for a consult if the shoulder continues to hurt. What is Dr. Sanders opinion of your situation. No doubt you are tired of this, but you have gone this far don't give up now, I know it is easy to give others advice when the person being advised has to do the hard part.
I hope things improve richard |
