Hi I also am crafty person. I like making cards and scrapbooking but it does take time. I find the sensation issues make things extra fiddly to do and I have had to find new ways to do certain things. Like everyone else I have to limit myself to short spells. Great satisfaction when something complete. I wanted to do this in order to keep my hands working.

I saw pottery classes for physically disabled advertised in a local college and thought that might be good and therapeutic but the sitting up for long periods is a worry as pain increases. Oh well have to think about that one, also got to travel and get someone to take me!!

I used to enjoy reading - like the stand idea suggested to Tracey (Hi speak to you soon. Good luck tomorrow!!:)) but the drugs make my eyes dry and I get some double vision (checked by optician) and also find hard to concentrate and keep up with where I am. I listen to my son read and have to watch what he is reading (Anthony Horowitz books) but sometimes that is hard, especially if I am very tired as well.

Aint life just grand!!

I just found a crafty thing that I can actually handle!!!! :yahoo:
WEAVING!!!
I use a really simple loom made out of a piece of lightweight cardboard (I used an oatmeal box) and followed all the instructions from this months CRAFT magazine (found at Borders and Barnes and Noble). If you've ever woven- you won't believe how simple this is. And if you've never woven, go ahead and try it- its so simple!!!!! :P
I only just started weaving 3 days ago. The great news is I feel no discomfort when doing this. I'm not gripping and my arms are in a relaxed position. I limit myself to 15 minutes of play two times a day. And at the end of my first project I will have a fabulous scarf that none of crocheting/ knitting friends have!!!!!
If you are curious, you don't have to buy the magazine to see how to make the little itty bitty paper "loom", you can go only to the video instructions @ http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/20...ith_paper.html
I'm curious to know if anyone else gives this a go. :)
