Default My round with botox

My month with BOTOX.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

*****************************************

Thursday ~ THANX for the past quote.
However, after this last month everything is out the window.
Can't even breathe let alone lay on the floor.

Had Botox on my right side August 6th & my left side decided to shut down immediately & hard.
2 weeks of over medicating & a foreign object going into those rock hard muscles, finally the Botox set in.
Haven't been able to enjoy the right side release.
I feel medicated to the hilt, nauseated, quacked out as Dr. J tries new meds, increases meds, puts in an immediate request for left side Botox to balance out with no response from the insurance company as I suffer each day wanting morphine & go to the ER.
I feel like a druggy wanting to be put out of my misery like a lame horse.
Nothing is working.
I'm so exhausted, so in pain I cant breathe or move.
Catching a wink here & there
Living day after day only by sitting up.
Why? How? can I allow this suffering everyday?
I have been told that the more you use morphine the more dangerous & dependent your body/brain relies on it as an easy out.

Some one tell my husband that its better to get immediate relief to calm all those muscles & stop this misery 24/7. His email address is: phillapuma@aol.com

Astern ~ your summary has been emailed out to my family. Thats how I feel & more.
Cyndy

******************************************
My girlfriend came over Friday took one look at me in horror & anger, then tears ran down her face as we called 911.
In the ER with immediate Morphiene, Phenegran & Ativan for my breathing.
Family was at the Angel game.

**************************************

My husband just figured out why I'm feeling so bad.
Botox last August into my right scalenes, pectoral minor, subscapularis & facial.
I had him look up the adverse reactions last night.
And wa-la!
Breathing, no energy, achiness, tighten throat muscles & breathing problems.
Sounds like chemo.
No wonder I kept saying I havent felt this bad since chemo.
He appologised to no end for not taking action sooner.

********************************************
Its not funny when it's all starring at you in the face & you don't recognize what is going on.
I should of been smarter than this, I should of reasearched sooner.
How could I have been so dumb? I couldn't even lift my head let alone my body out of bed.

********************************************

Is having it work on my right side worth the side effects?
Is it worth the pain & discomfort for 2 weeks after procedure being on handfuls of drugs?
Is it worth trying again?

I give everyone props who have had tremendous outcome but I guess it's just MY body, MY intolerance to the toxin.
I'd love to hear both pro & cons of your BOTOX experience!!
And remember, just becasue this happended to me, DOESN'T mean it will happen to you.
Just be aware of your own body & dont let anyone tell you anything different than what you are feeling.

********************************************

Finz.
Please keep faith
It did work on my right side which he injected!
I just haven't been able to enjoy it.
The left side froze up & I had a reaction to the complete vial he injected into me.
Next time...inject both sides to balance.
My system is VERY sensitive to meds.

Unhappy

holy crap, olcyn... this is the type of event that I could see happening to me if I allowed anyone to start injecting things into my neck!! For some it is a viable option but for others... well who knows how 'odd' our physiology might be? I hope that the toxins wear off asap!!

Will put you at the top of my prayer list!!!

Anne

Default Totally off base

Just got home from seeing Dr. Jordan. We were all going round & round wondering what all these symptoms meant since August 6th. Dr. J said he has only seen one other case similar but not like mine when a bubble gets in the linning of the lung from injecting. Problem is...all this pain & breathing issues are on my leftside not the right where he injected.

Proceeded to tell him I had a chest x-ray & called my PTP for a copy while waiting to see him since I had never heard anything from last week. They faxed the radiologists report & guess wht? I have left sided PLEUISY. Noe I get to go have a CAT SCAN of my lungs. O joy.

I'm so Peo'd at my PTP for not informing me while I suffer even though there isn't much you can do for pleurisy. Al the other grbage I just googled scares the hell out of a patient. I'm not going there.

So, go have the BOTOX TOS patients. It helped my right side. In a couple of weeks I am having the left side done if the repeat x-ray comes back normal. The insurance company approved it! Remarkable!!

Don't worry honey, I'll be here for you rain or shine come Nov no matter what. I'm so excited to see YOU & everyone else!

Cyndy,
you get yourself better so we can get the tequila out!!! I love limes!!!!

lolplease think of your own health above all else....no excuses or I'll bring my nursing butt to your door and whoop your butt!!!!
I only want you to get and feel better.

Aspiration if there is fluid in your lung could make you feel better almost instantly.....like hey I can breath again kind of thing.....hurts but not too badly if the right doc does it.....just watch his procedure...I'm sure you know the drill by now!

lots of gentle hugs and love and same to Phil!!!
