Default rare cases

I am concerned about these articles and how they could be interpreted by people. I just want to note that these are about cases...RARE cases and are describing usually ONE case. WE are not all the same and although some of us may have some symptoms we may not have the same or exact symptoms when we compare to somebody else.

I hope this is not the case for you and that there is an answer for you soon. I am not in anyway implying your are incorrect or wrong and knowledge is an amazing thing to have....however the interpretation of the knowledge is what is key! Please note doctors make mistakes and are wrong on many occasions as I can well attest to in my own case of many doctors I have seen during my diagnosis stage.

If there is compression of a certain nerve it will give you symptoms if it controls the same part of the body you have symptoms in. If you have symptoms that are rare or different then doctors look for the easiest answers and don't always attribute things to be of the same syndrome.

That is what TOS is, a SYNDROME, a collection of symptoms attached to a certain diagnosis. It is a syndrome because we all have different symptoms...many the same as we all know, but we can get different symptoms from each other that make no sense until you are able to work out the compression area or what nerves or vessels are compressed. NOT an easy thing to do!!

My 2 cents....best of luck with further care .....

re fibromyalgia
I didn't think I had it either....but my doctor pushed on the 18 spots and I got 18/18. No extreme fatigue...not more than you'd expect a person with chronic pain to have who is on a hell of a lot of medicines.....
I was surprised when my doc suggested that I do have fibromyalgia. If you have ruled out RA and OA then it could be still be fibro there is not a good way to diagnose it. It is also a syndrome!!!

take care
love and hugs,
Victoria
