This is great
Thanks Grom..And thanks johanna. I feel so much better. Mine also started in hands wrists and seemed to move up. Although I did complain about neck pain and headaches all along, I was told it was not related. I have lost strength in both arms....I was very fit and enjoyed working out but can't do it any more, I feel as though my arms are turning to J-E-L-L-O. The rain has really been influencing my pain levels as well...this only just started in last few months.

the chest pain, breathing thing could be muscle spasms.
I had a thread started on that discussion a week or 2 or 3 ago. or you can use the search tool to find more posts mentioning it. |

:welcome_sign: Hi CHeryl- Welcome to neurotalk!
sorry to hear you have been having trouble for so long- WOW. 39 years and heart surgery? The good news is that people with cervical ribs are some of the most direct to fix. Have you found a good neurologist or vascular surgeon to help you out ? Where are you? Lots of doctors are on the suggested list that are good. Johanna |
Johanna, I Just Got A Referrel To U.t.m.b. (john Sealy) In Galveston,tx. I'm Waiting For An Appt. Now To See A Thoracic Surgeon. Hi Rachael,
Welcome and glad that you found everyone here. Welcome and Hi to Cheryl too. Cheryl my hubby had that ablation procedure too. My TOS started in the neck and shoulders (bad burning) and moved down although I have not had as much arm hand pain as I have had neck and thoracic spine pain. My arm pain is more upper arm/deltoid area. Also in the beginning bad tight chest pain. I need to pay more attention to the weather question and try to see if I notice any trends. Time for bed. Sorry I missed you all today. |
Welcome, Rachael and Cheryl!
Mine also started in the neck/clavicle area following a car accident nearly 5 years ago. I don't have a lot of lower arm/hand pain (lots of numbness there, though); most of mine is above the elbow up into the area above the clavicle, side of neck, traps, and shoulder blade. I haven't found any relationship to weather; mine seems to flare up with activity. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here...I know you both will learn a lot! Take care, Donna |
