Hi Law ~

Yep, I had to register too. I believe that is because BT2 is not associated with BrainTalk. It's a whole new board. This is not John Lesters board.

Hello to everyone! I was just sent a link to this and am glad to see that we have a place to go. I considered changing my username since I sold my red Wrangler a couple of weeks ago and bought a truck (changing my name to redtoyotatacomasportgirl wasn't a good idea ) but decided to stick with something I was used to typing in and could remember! How has everyone been over the last couple of months? I hope to hear that everybody is OK and that many of us are doing better than OK- I'm doing great and will be glad to get back in contact with all of you again.

Default Hi Law - hi Red

I had to add a letter to my user name but it's me j55.

My kitchen remodel is almost done - we did the work ourselves.
just bought the cabinets, countertops and flooring and installed them.

I must say it is hard to get a decent product at a decent price anymore. what a pain - I wish we would have made our own cabinets and countertops, but dh didn't have enough time off to do all that. Just glad it is almost finished except for a few final details , but it is usable now.

Law how are you doing since the surgery? Everything going well for you?

My niece had appendix attack and emergency surgery to remove it {also had a small leak}.
by the time it was all over she had been back into the Hospital 3 times- surgery, infection & then fluid in abdoman along with a twisted or kinked intestine.

weren't a couple of others going into surgery around the time of the crash?

I can't even recall their names! errgghh!
sorry you are feeling punky Law- hope your other side goes thru soon.
have you talked with Tam or any of the other CA tossers?

did you go to the CA TOS meeting?

I think the BT crash happened that weekend.

Default Helllllooouuuu All!!

My Goodness!! I thought I was going to die!! The TOS forum has always been there whem I am down or need a question answered and all of a sudden it's nowhere in sight!!

I am 9 mos. post op from a supraclavicular rib resection and am dealing with less pain but still unable to do things, like drive, shop clean, cook... I am going nuts!!! It is the first time in my life I have been totally dependent on others. Usually I am the care taker, and it is sooo hard to be at every one else's mercy. Especially when Hubby is sick too and his illness is recognized and mine isn't!!!

3 and 1/2 years into this no one seems to understand my limitations much less my pain!! Even hubby doesn't get it some times!! Agggghhhhh!!!

I wanna whine and cry a bit if everyone doesnt mind. I am so tired of fighting for every little thing. P.t., groceries, (they don't deliver here!) competent house cleaners and gardeners, money to pay them!!

My house is on the market as we can't keep up with it and trying to keep it clean and the yard up is a nightmare. Not to mention this isn't the greatest time to have a house on the market..... BLAH!!!!

Sorry, I probably should have started a new thread but am too tired to try and figure out how to

Wahhhhhhh!!!!
G~

Default Part 2

I was so happy that the forum is back so I only wrote instead of reading.....
@Gromily:
I am sorry that you still suffer so much. I think one of the most difficult things with TOS is to learn to take help from others and to realize that for a while you are not able to do this or that. That was very hard for me, too. Time is important for healing and this year I was able again to do some more things I haven`t been able to for some time.
I really understand what you say by "no one understands..." - therefor the forum helped me so much. Healthy people cannot understand what this means to be in pain or to be limited, they can accept it, if they want.
Anyway, I wish you faith and power!!!

J55, red:
I hope you could enjoy the summer and feel as good as possible.

Law:
I think the meds make you feel tired and a surgery is a big event for the body and with the painful time before surgery the body has to recover. As I too have a lot of headaches, I hope you can really "enjoy" that it is better now.

So again I send my best wishes to all.
Barbara
