Default Chemar....

I'm not for sure what part of Florida you are in, but just wanted you to know i'm praying for all those who were affected by the tornados. We've had our fair share of tornados here in Oklahoma, and i've seen first hand what they can do I do hope you and your family are ok...

Hi Vicky and thanks so much for your caring concern

We were very close to it all and I am exhausted as we were woken a bit before 4am by weather radio alarms and high winds

Our immediate area was spared, but the devastation to the north and west of me is horrific

my heart aches for those who have lost loved ones.......and for the many who's homes are destroyed.

I also have a thread on the Sanctuary here about this and Jo started on on Social Chat too for our other Florida members to check in

thanks Vicky

I replied on another thread this morning, but just wanted to send my thoughts your way again. As the day has gone on the extent of the damage and sadly, the people injured and worse, has grown. Such a shocking thing to happen. I hope all our other members are safe. I guess it'll take some time for some areas to get power back on. I did read something about a curfew which I guess is something that happens in situations like that there? Anyway, just letting you know we're thinking of you all as well.

Lara

the more news coverage we get...the more shocking the destructive force of these storms becomes apparant

earliest reports indicate there were likely five tornadoes that touched down in the area, hence the widespread swathe of damage

we have thunderstorms again today and tho they say nothing severe, yet it is still really unnerving for me, and I can only imagine how those who were directly hit yesterday must be feeling now, listening to the thunder rolls.
Hope we get some dry days following as so many roofs were ripped off and still a search and rescue operation taking place thru the rubble

I will be so glad when this El Nino pattern is over...it has been a very weird winter for us all round!

Exclamation Whew...

glad you are all okay..

It is really hard to deal with these natural stressors...Mother Nature having a hissy fit.
I have had my share of very scary storms, including a lightning strike that
missed me by 4 ft. So I can empathize with you!

I am relieved to see you are all safe!

Chemar,

Yes, very sad and hard for so many folks in Florida ! I know that many had to rebuild after the not so distant hurricanes, too. My thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted.

Be well my friend !

Take care,
Tessa
