logismum,
just letting you know you can reply to Visitor Messages if you click on your own name. It'll take you to your own profile page. e.g. near the top right of the screen after you log in here at NeuroTalk it will say "Welcome, logismum". Click on the underlined logismum and that'll take you to your Profile Page and Visitor Messages will show up there. There you can reply by just typing in the box and then you need to click Post Message.

There are also Private Messages. If you need a hand with anything let us know and myself or someone will help you out. There's a really comprehensive FAQ up the top of the page as well. It might help explain some of the settings and such that may be unfamiliar.

You don't have long till your big trip south. I hope all is well! {Bring an umbrella!}

Hi there Hudsmom,
I'm sorry the past couple of weeks haven't been so great. I hope things are improving soon. What's been going on?

He has been having panic attacks daily. The least little thing sends him over the edge. Some days several in a day.

Hudsmom, that doesn't sound very good. What does he do when he has the panic attacks? Are they actual panic attacks or does he have meltdowns which seem to be out of the blue? I'm just trying to understand what's happening to him. Any noticeable triggers to these episodes?

I guess you're all on school break now. I was hoping he'd start to feel more relaxed.

The panic attacks he starts having a hard time breathing and complains of chest pain. But then he is having meltdowns as well. Arriving places on time is a huge factor so we have to leave early. He wants me with him at all times. Even wants me to lay with him until he falls asleep. Had a field trip yesterday and his dad had to attend because he was paniced at the thought. I've read the worry wise kids and he is really like a poster child for GAD. We have our second appt w therapist next week.

Hi Lara

No we haven't left yet, We fly out at 6:45am tomorrow morning and won't get back home until 8:30pm so it's going to be a very long day especially for DS 6 but he is very excited to be going on a plane!

Have a safe and fun trip, logismum.

Looking forward to hearing from you on your return. I'd really love to hear how you get on with the nutritional doctor too.

Take care!
