When my son was going through severe onset of TS years ago, his CBT therapist suggested an elastic wrist band to be gently snapped when the tics, and especially the Tourettic OCD was intrusive. It had an amazing calming effect on my son, though I found it peculiar at the time. I wonder if that reaction was in some way linked to a pathway indicated in this study?
