I had a concussion 2 years ago while snowboarding. Received a CT scan and the doc said everything looked normal, just to go home and rest for 2 weeks. Which I did. However not much has changed. I feel lightheaded all the time. However, if I go for a run this lightheadedness goes away. So I've been running a couple times a week the past year and ten months. However, this lightheadedness has progressively begun to stay longer and longer and is no longer manageable as it was before. Saw my family doctor about this and he sent me to a psychologist who I spent some time with but really didn't seem to help. I'd like to be able to focus again in school. My father, who is 55, and I complain about the same sorts of memory issues. Where should/can I seek help? I do not want to approach my general practitioner again. What type of doctor should I contact?

you should see a neurologist.

You should see someone who specializes in neurorehabilitation. Most Doctors, neurologists included, know very little about rehabilitating head injuries. They will do nothing more than scratch their heads and send you home with a prescription for an antidepressant. A physiatrist or neuropsychologist who specializes in neurofeedback are your two best bets.

Personally, I would get in touch with someone who does neurofeedback. If you google "neurofeedback" and your "city," you should be able to find ample therapists who do this.
