I took 1200mg of DHA for about two months.
For some reason it felt like it exacerbated my symptoms, noticing improvement when I got off of it. |

Eddy,
What symptoms were exacerbated when you took the DHA? DHA is a normal component of our food, just lacking in quantity so it helps to supplement. I take it with EPA as Carlson's Fish Oil. Could you have had some other cause of your symptoms change? The research mentioned is actually DHEA Sulfate. No comparison to DHA. The research was limited to brain injured rats, not yet studied in brain injured humans. They did not mention the difference between DHEA and DHEA S. Also, since DHEA is not considered an experimental or dangerous drug, I wonder why they have not done any clinical studies with human subjects as has been done with progesterone? DHEA-S sounds promising but its use after and far beyond seven days post injury would be a valuable study.
