Lightbulb I don't know how to help my Mom!

My mom had brain surgery 9 months ago to remove a cavernoma in the third ventricle of her brain. She was in the hospital for 30 days and then in rehab hospital for 30 days. She's home now, but cannot stay by herself. Her short term memory is horrible, which means she has no long term memory either. I think she is severely depressed now, but don't know what to do for her. She's been on a couple of anti-depressants, but they don't work. Now, she's paranoid about people hurting her and they tried a medicine for that, but it didn't work either. She is a different person now and is simply taking up a space in the world, but she has no life and she's only 57! HELP!!!
