I have been prescribed glasses with prismatic lenses to correct the distortion to my orbit because I see double below the horizontal

,I can see this working if one is boss eyed , but this has been corrected with me If anyone has ever had a migraine they will know that although the vision is effected by the head ache it is not the eyes were the problem lies

TBI head aches are more complex and could have many root causes associated with the injury but for PCS from MTBI, if it works than maybe ? its worth a visit to an ophthalmologist

but like I say It has improved my vision but nothing else , thats not to say it will not help others with less complex injury's

A vision therpist opthamologist wont prescribe new lens or glasses.

They do other things.

I struggled with head aches when I was young (9-10 years old). I had 20/20 or even 20/15 vision but needed glasses so my brain could see the images in a more relaxed way.

Even now, my optometrist needs to prescribe a 'relaxed' or comfortable prescription. Most optometrists will not make the extra effort to find a comfortable prescription. The ones that do are worth the effort to find.

I am not suggesting that prism correction is the cure all. But it is worth looking into for those with recurring head aches.

With all do respect, vision therapist opthamologists will prescribe new lenses (or should if they are any good). As a matter of fact, that should be the first thing the therapist tests when he/she see's you. There has even been some research done on prism and tinted glasses for people with mtbi. As Mark put it, it can go a long way to calming down the brain and reducing fatigue and in some cases promote healing because the brain is not stressed. Even people with mild TBI can benefit from this.
