Default Drugs or no drugs?

Hi everyone,

I've been battling this PCS for three and a half months now. Still plagued by daily headaches and light sensitivity in right eye. Haven't taken the nortriptyline yet. Have gone to chiropractic neurology and acupuncture and taking vitamins and chinese herbs. Both my chiropractic neurologist and acupuncturist have really discouraged me from taking any perscription medication and have even mentioned that nortriptyline taken longer than two months can cause permanent cognitive impairments.

Anyway, I Havne't really seen a noticeable improvement really from all of my alternative therapies. I'm just really tired honestly I know this is also causing me a lot of stress and haven't been sleeping well. I'm thinking of honestly just giving up and taking the nortriptyline if the L-trytophan doesn't help me. I"m just scared of all the side effects of nortripyline and I dnot know want to have a drug just mask my symptoms and I dont want to be dependent on a drug.

But on the other hand, i feel stuck and really tired . So do you think the nortriptyline will somehow help me heal faster? Thank you so much.
