Hi
I've been noticing advice on here to take B6, B12, D3, omega 3, folic acid and anti oxidents. I've never taken supplements before but this PCS is tough and I feel I need to boost my system. Do any of you know brands worth checking out that are sold here in the UK? My husband takes Berocca daily. It's a multiple supplement and desptie his encourgement I haven't taken it as I don't want to OD on vits etc that are not useful to aid my recovery. Thanks. Hope you're having a good day. |

Hi Ali,
In addition to the ones that you mention, you might want to check out magnesium and branch chained amino acids (BCAA). The main ones that I took were these two, omega3 in the form of cod liver oil, a multivitamin and vitamin C. I think that it's probably a good idea to eat quite a bit also, especially protein. (I haven't done a scientific study on any of this. This is just what I think might be help for me.) I am also from the UK, but I don't have any great retail outlets to mention. I just went to Boots for some and bought the others online. I didn't find a good source of BCAAs in the UK so I just bought it from the US online. I had to pay a certain percentage in import tax but I think that it's worth it. It still didn't come to that much if you get it as a powder. It tastes really bad though. For the Omega-3 I just used the higher omega 3 concentration of Cod Liver Oil. I think that works out as the cheapest and best option. CS Quote:
