Ive been not reading at times. It seems to bring some relief to everyday,
thoughts that I wont be better again. Or that I have to relearn at times to live with the problems. But I'm Donna, and I have had a complex life with concussions. And PCS, but I never realized how important it was to take time to recover. And I have gotten those looks, Like why are you a idiot. Or just why don't you make sense. I'm a parent advocate for a group that we all have children with disabilities or we ourselves have them. Ive gotten to the point I tell my parents, that I have had PCS, so if all the sudden i seem to not make sense. To question me as to what I'm saying. If I can't straighten my thoughts out, then I know I had a relapse of a issue. And I'll tell them, that I will straighten my thinking out and get them the answer. It really helps for them to realize that they aren't alone with children with these problems. But it also helps to know I am going through issues too. I really enjoy my job. But one of my concussions happened in a hotel while I was working. I had lots of problems after. And not only my supervisor and about 5 co-workers watching me. But the whole conference thought I was some kind of idiot. I had to drive home the next day. And I know now to never do that again. I wasn't sure I was going to get there. My car being left and someone going back for would have made so much more sense. Especially sense I had to be driven everywhere for two weeks. So please ask me questions if I don't make sense. And always remember I've been there. Donna ![]() |

Wanted to add something:
It is interesting were your life takes you sometimes: Today while I was doing my job of Advocating for a child. I really felt my blessing. Even with having had PCS, and having diabetes and Asthma, Fibromyalgia. I meet a mom this week, who's son has been through the wringer since his birth. He has many medical issues. That just will stay during his life. They diagnosed, Other health impairment, speech and language disorder and learning disabilites before today. Today after two reports showing autism, and ADHD they have changed his title to Multiple Disabilites. The main point to this, is that he is a happy young man. And I don't think his mom realizes she is the reason. Donna ![]() |
