Default Inner ear testing question

My daughter has waited three weeks for her inner ear testing appointment and it is scheduled for this afternoon but now the office manager is telling her that she should have been off the gabapentin for 48 hours. Is this really an issue? Will it skew the tests that much? She is still dizzy and nauseous and noise and light sensitive on the medication. She is still ramping up to therapudic dose and would have reached it in two days. She doesn't want to have to wean off and then go back on it so soon.

We are waiting for the final consenssus. The office manager is trying to reach the tech who will be doing this test. I told my daughter to call the nurologists office also but he usually will not answer questions over the phone. The policyis that the patient comes into his office and be seen in person and have their questions answered that way. That is the only thing I do not like about this physician so far. I told my daughter to call her nurologist anyway but wonder if we should just insist that the testing be done today anyway.
