Our brains can get heal, we just have to help in every way possible. And be patient. Its not easy but its better than existing instead of living.

mbrook,

I didn't know that! Maybe that's why I have GERD and now IBS.

I have been trying to figure out what my problem is for months now!

I get to see the GI doctor in April ~ finally. I've been waiting since November or October for pete's sake! :(

My diet is already a real pain to do, because of the GERD. I have to avoid lots of different favorite fruits and veggies. And, normally, I'm not a big meat eater. I have to push myself to eat small amounts daily. Take oats and wheat out of the diet, and I'd really be miserable!

How do you accept the need to avoid favorite foods, because your body is having such trouble processing?

Giving up fav foods is hard but there are substitutes out there. look online or at health food stores.

you just have to decide that its worth the sacrifice. And the substitutes are pretty good.
