Default Flashing lights behind eyes

I noticed lately that this symptom is getting worse.
Toward the end of the day when I close my eyes I have light flashes and it feels like my eyes kind of roll around. The pain is pretty bad and sharp on top of my regular headaches.
Anyone else have this? I try to stay in the dark and not read, watch tv, computer, etc. Is this just eye strain?

Thanks

You need to get this checked out just to be sure that it isn't your retina detaching. I began to experience flashing in my eye years ago and I was quickly checked out. In my case it turned out to be part of my migraines, although I often experience the flashes without a headache. Mine is not related to my PCS.

i get that too....its scary. I'm not sure but I think its just the brain overworked. I barely go on the computer (5 to 10 Mins at a time)...almost no tv (except my 22 min episode of Modern family...laughter is good for the soul!! I barely drive too...5 -10 mins each direction to the chiro.

I seem to get a flash of light off the left side of my head when I feel all the symptoms coming on...or sometimes early in the morning.

I call it my "light shows". some times they keep me awake because they won't stop. my Dr isn't concerned.
I notice I have them when I have had a busy day and my brain is overloaded.
Its like my brain is randomly firing things off and doesn't know why.

Is this not related to Migraine's? I used to get flashing at the start of the migraine, but not anymore because I have preventative meds and migraine meds if needed.
