Default constant tingling and weird feelings in head upon from any thinking

reading, writing, conversations, music...walking, anything and everything makes me have this weird tingling on the top of my head...and then the headache comes on. Certain visual things..make the back of my head hurt a little more.

what is this? I'm also getting facial pain too..around my nose, cheekbones, jaw...not painful...like pins and needles

Default Back of Head

I get the same exact thing. Major pins and needles and the back of my head gets very sore with any above average exertion. Laughing too hard, crying, etc.

I think that it is nerve pain. Not completely sure.. but just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

so can you tolerate these things...like tv..computer..conversations? For how long? what do you do...go rest? I'm fed up resting! I feel like all I do is lay down and can't sleep. I can't even tolerate an hour lunch with a friend..in my own house!! Forget tv...the feelings come on instantly. Do you just ignore it? When I do...I get wildly dizzy and a blasted headache -- its over 7 months now.

Any meds for this nerve pain?

Hello

I'm pcs 17 months now- I know that everyones time is different . I don't want you to feel discouraged from my length of time.

Just thinking back, around 7 months- where you are now- was such a mentally hard time for me. I had all those feelings you mentioned.

Still get all these things but they are not as severe.

The constant headache is very hard. But, it has improved so much from the initial months where just walking in my bedroom was too painful. I try not to think back how long I have had it. That is very overwhelming.

I understand being tired resting. It feels like a prison at times. But I still try to remember it is the best thing to do. Even when it is so depressing I try to think how lucky I am that I can lay down.

I listen to spa music if I can't calm my thoughts down. I still have to rest most of the day. The heating pad works wonders for pain and inducing sleep.

Around 7 mos I could walk for 20 minutes in the AM and then seep till the afternoon & go on another walk before going back to bed. It was very hard. I couldn't really go out at all. And I needed someone to walk with me. I would walk down the street holding onto all the neighbors bushes

Computer and TV is still hard but it got way better! Also the dizziness has improved so much! I only get dizzy now occasionally.

Like you, I would get dizzy immediately upon standing.

As far as meds go, I had tried so many different ones but for me the side effects were very problematic- I felt like I couldn't deal with any more .

I always went back to ibuprofen (Once I handle being off oxycodone). It barely helped the pain but it did help me w/out causing problems.

Hang in there I understand the struggle you are having.

P.S. Do you get physical therapy? That really helped me leaps and bounds.

Postconcussion --
yest went out with my husband..he drove..10 mins to baseball field (i rested in the car)..then we went for a drive to the park. I got out a few mins...then back home. prob total time in the car was half hour (which I did not close my eyes with head back like i usually do) I was a mess later. So exhausted...more than normal.

I couldn't sleep -- took my med at 10:00--slept until 1:30 and was up iwth this weird throbbing thru my body. Then at 3:30 I couldn't take it anymore so I took more so I could fall back to sleep...until 7:30...thank god! I hate taking the meds..but I guess I have to.

My brain feels like its in overdrive. Anything I do outside this house causes it.

I can't watch tv...barely use computer ...few times a day for 5 or 10 mins. and I don't read...it tires me out. Am I just imaginging this stuff...overthinking each thing or are the activities really what is causing this??

I am seeing neuro on wed...any suggestions??

btw -- 3 kids..one in college..2 boys home. I need to get back to at least driving and going to their games. Last week was a horror story going to my son's baseball game. Fire alarm went off...disaster! I was a mess for 3 days.

I also sent you a private message
