Default Where'd you hit your noggin'?

Just thought I'd start a thread where people can talk about what part of their heads they hit, and on what surface. For me, this would be the back of my head on concrete.

mine was left parietal and left frontal. the frontal is responsible for organizational, critical thinking, executive function and planning. its what makes us human. the primitive parts eg. vision, recognition, are located in the back of the brain

I faceplanted in packed snow and hit the right side of my head around and just above my eye. I didn't have concussion symptoms until the next day.

I hit my head on the back left side on the occipital lobe on a shelf that is situated slightly above the top of my couch....that day I "plopped" down and backwards too quickly as I was sitting down and ended up hitting my head against the shelf!

Back of head vs. kitchen floor, then concussed went face first into a door with all my body weight. Hit the door just above my right eye.

I slightly slipped on the floor and hit the front of my head on the wall.
...Well, to be more precise, I hit my head on a light elastic hollow piece of plastic (router) butted up against the wall. It was a pretty minor blow, still surprised I got a concussion from it.

Well, I have two... first one was back of the head on carpet covered cement. Carpet was about 1/8th of an inch thick. And the second one was left side on the drivers side window... It was during a car accident.

I wouldn't say life is a joke. Some of us have worked so hard to reach this point, and tried so hard to help others as well.

We all have a purpose in life and a reason to live.

Thank you for creating this topic, though.

I hit the wood chair backrest on the hairline, dead-center. Anyone know what part of the brain that is? (I'll look it up as well).

I has been a year & 1 month of a pain nightmare, and I feel 20 years older than 37. But I'm alive. And I'm thankful this didn't happen decades ago.

Confused ouch!

12/11/10 - backseat in a car accident while not wearing a seatbelt - STUPID! I slammed my forehead into the driver's headrest and bent the steel posts forward. No headaches to date but progressively worse memory issues, accompanied by a short fuse and an inability to multi-task. Really tired of dealing with this. I have a cognitive therapist I'll start working with on Tuesday - hoping for some tips and tricks!
