I also take 10 mg amitriptyline and have great success with it. I had been taking it for 10 years or so before my concussion for chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia but had stopped taking it for some medical tests I had to do. I am now back on it for the headaches and sleep problems since my concussion and its working great!

PCSlife, amitriptyline is not addictive but you have to wean yourself off it very slowly. Its very dangerous to just stop taking it. I've had to stop a couple times for tests/surgeries and its horrible to come off of!

The last time I came off it I decided not to go back on and started taking Atarax instead. Its an antihistamine that also helps with sleep. It was working well until the concussion and then wasn't strong enough. So back on the amitriptyline but its working so worth it!

Wishing everyone restorative sleep....
