Hello all, my fiancee's son suffered a hypoxic TBI last month and will need intense rehab. I'm wondering what are some good places he can go for a few months to get some good care and PT, ST, OT, preferably on the east coast or close to it.
Thank you. |

Not sure if you've gotten any leads yet but Shepherd Center in Atlanta is very well-respected in brain and spinal injuries (treatment and rehab). Hope this helps and best of luck to your and your family.

This is great, thank you! My fiancee's mother lives in Atlanta so this would work very well for us. Thank you again.

You may want to look up hyperbaric Oxygen treatment (HBOT) in your area and see if there are any facilities. I believe that it could help, particularly with hypoxic TBI. You have better look into it yourselves - I am no expert - but it would seem at least logical that giving oxygen, albeit after the event, might help those parts that were damaged by not having enough.
