Last night I bumped my head while getting out of the car. It was on the same side where I had my concussion but a slighty different location. I can feel a small goose egg today and discomfort, especially when laying down.
I have been very anxious all day, but no other symptoms. Have any of you experienced minor bumps since your concussion? If so, did you relapse into a lot of pcs symptoms? Just wondering what I might expect.... Thanks a bunch ![]() |

So sorry to hear that but glad that you haven't been experiencing new or returning symptoms. I hit my forehead in a wreck and about 6 months later stood up and hit the back of my head on the freezer door. Like you, I didn't have anything new to report and my existing symptoms didn't appear to worsen. Keep a close eye on yourself and if you're still concerned, call your neuro Monday. Good luck!

I suffered a concussion about 4 months ago and these minor head bumps drive me crazy. Just the other day I was getting into my car and hit the side of my head and have had headaches since then. It is really annoying as I had been headache free for about 2 weeks since this stupid minor bump.
I hope it goes away soon as I am gonna be starting school in about a week. |

Sorry to hear about peoples' bumps to the head while trying to heal.
I've been in the same boat the past year or so. Last Sat. I went to a social event (doesn't happen much these days), and took a step backward into- a low-hanging ceiling lamp. ![]() Seemed like a very slight tap, but the headache has lasted for a week. I've bumped my head getting in & out of a car, on a table, and tree branch in the past year. And had a sudden stop in a taxi, and a pillow thrown into my head. What's really annoying is I keep waiting for the brain to stop hurting over the months, and really don't want anything to interfere. Wish I had a doctor, let alone a Neuro. ![]() All I can do is pray & take a painkiller if it is very bad pain. And wait. |

I suffered a lot of anxiety about relapse from minor head bumps during my recovery. I did the same thing you did - hit my head against the car hard enough to send me into a panic about relapsing or making my symptoms worse. I did have one hell of a headache for about 2 days afterwards, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't think that level of trauma is enough to seriously put you behind, but good luck anyway!
