Default Dealing with the Doctors.....

Very frustrated the last couple of days. I have a Neurosurgeon, Neuropsych and Neurologist. My Neuropsych told me at my last visit if I needed something for anxiety he would give it to me. I balked at the idea because I used to be on Xanax and it was so hard to wean off. Its been a week since my visit.

I called yesterday because I noticed that I needed it and I felt my anxiety was getting in the way of my recovery. I called early. Well I called three more times and left messages and of course...nothing!!!

I decided ok then....I'll call my Neurologist and explain to him that the Head Injury Clinic wasn't returning my calls. I had an Mra last Friday that he ordered so I thought I'd call for my results and while I had him on the phone....he could help....NOTHING.

I'm not the type of patient to call when I get a hangnail. I work for Cardiology so I know how frustrated doctors get with the patient who calls everyday...

I looked around for new doctors because communication is key but it's a Workmans Comp claim so I'd have to get a referral from my current MD to get it approved. I have my big Neuropsych testing on Monday and I wanted to be calm while I took it.

I guess I'm just venting. Headache woke me up again and you guessed it...another day laying on the couch taking a useless pill that just makes me tired.

I am dealing with anger on top of it all...... so not like me. Im mad about my injury, my lack of progress and lack of support in my area....

Thanks for letting me vent.....it truly does help....Hope you all are having a good pain free day.
