does anyone else suffer from non-epileptic seizures or as the hospital called them "episodes" ? are they affected by anti-seizure drugs, and can they be treated? are they treated by psychiatry? or by neurology? i need to know which Dr. to get my partner to see next.

I suffered non-epileptic seizures in high school during a recovery from a concussion.
My neurologist put me on Dilantin (phenytoin) but it messed up my gums. He switched me to phenobarbital. I was on it for about two years. I take gabapentin (Neurontin) now because I have seizure like episodes as I am falling asleep.
