Mark,

My doctor prescribed the Neurontin for pain. I have a pretty nasty neck injury from a car accident I was in, and so he started me on Neurontin as well as trigger point injections for my neck.

Did you have any side effects when initially taking it?? If so, how long before they went away?

I have never had any side effects from it. I have not heard of it being prescribed for pain.

I see that it is used for fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy and postherpetic neuralgia. Maybe he suspects your pain is neuropathic.

It does nothing for my head aches, even at 900 to 1200 mgs at a time.

btw, I should go take my bed time dose.

Hope it helps you.
