I've only read two of your posts and already you've made a difference with me. Keep it going!

Timing is impeccable Kenjhee....because today i just started my classes in Level 1 Healing Touch International to learn how to heal from within using meditation, energy healing, chakras, etc. It was a truly magnificent day. A large group of people all hoping to learn and grow in their practice whether it be nursing, massage therapy, holistic medicine, or a mother helping her childs chronic pain. We tried techniques on each other for 10 hours. I was so scared of what a long day would bring me symptomwise, but also if i could endure the teaching aspect.

Well....whenever i had a headache and we started a new technique, whoever was working on me could feel the energy from my headaches in their fingertips quite far from actually touching my head. 6inches to 2 feet away! I could feel them pulling at the headache and trying to clear it. And sure enough, 10 hours later, i have energy, i feel renewed, i am in less pain than when the day started....but most of all i am inspired!!

My hospital system has an Integrative Medicine Program where practicioners skilled in this area use Healing Touch as a modality in the treatment program. They started it in 1996! They have done studies on veterans returning from war with PTSD and PCS and the treatment groups showed major improvement while the non healing touch group did not show as much improvement. They said the study is about to be published and will be in a medical journal soon.

im starting to see how i can self-heal with the use of these techniques and it focuses on all aspects of our being....Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. By aligning all of these aspects, one can truly heal.

Ive had 2 other nurses use Healing Touch on me while i was at work and having awful icepick headaches....both were able to decrease my pain. I also watched both use this technique on their patients and would watch their breathing slow, their pain subside, the HR, Respirations, and Blood pressure all regulate and even just as Biofeedback shows (as well as Meditiation that you suggested). So i am a believer in this and know already the benefits, and hope i can learn first to self-heal and then begin to heal others for whatever it is they need it for.

Its been such an inspiring day...and your comment made me want to share. I know you will relate and connect with this. Let the Healing Begin!

Oh my goodness, we must have some mighty strong karma going...I studied psychic healing for several years, trying to address my health problems. I am also Reiki 2.

Although I completely believe in spirtual healing, neither of these helped me very much (I have seen others helped, however). Using a version of Therapeutic Touch, I have successfully treated several people of back problems, of all things. I myself don't have back problems, and haven't been able to heal the problems I do have. Yes, I can actually feel their pain in my hands as the bad energy leaves their system.

People are usually surprised that I'm into this kind of stuff. I'm more the politically conservative, NRA life member wear camo at least once-a-week kind of guy, and I run my own engineering business. But I got into spiritual matters from studying martial arts, and now it helps me maintain balance as I navigate the world of TBI.

Best of luck with your classes. Looks like you might be on to something.
