Hi all,
My PCS has finally gone, wow!! So to anyone who is reading this and feeling awful, and wondering how much longer, it does go eventually, and you will feel fine again ![]() The other thing I've been thinking about is being accident prone.........I sat down and totalled up the accidents I have had in my life, including the concussion of course, and was stunned at how many. Anyone else like this? |

Jane-CONGRATS! This is awesome. I'm 4 months out still symptomatic, but hopeful.
Enjoy being "normal" again! Tami |

Excellent news - now make sure not to hit your head again!
What (if anything) has helped the most during your recovery? I'm almost at the six-month mark. I've been making progress, with lessening symptoms and better mood and sleep - am happy about this, but it truly is "inch by inch by inch." |

Hi there, Yes, inch by inch very much describes it I think! I would say that the only thing that helped was having extended periods sitting quietly in the bedroom with my eyes shut. I know that sounds basic but I'm not a patient person and I usually try and do too many things so just quietly 'switching off' all stimuli and accepting that yes, I felt incredibly crap (!) and couldn't change that or 'do' anything about it was the only thing that helped me. Really, I think your body heals and does its stuff in it's own time but accepting helps.... |

More than 1 1/2 years and I haven't had any improvement in the past year so I'm not really holding out hope for it to go away.
But I'm glad it does get better for some people, including you!

Your not alone, dealing with for about a year and a half as well (my accident was in march 2010)....i think part of my issue was that the er did not look for any head trama, at least that is what the er report seems to say, my lawyer just showed me the accident pics 2 weeks ago and read me the er report, i remember none of it...things are better then a few months ago....just hang in there it will get better

My Neurologist told me it takes a year to 18 months to fully recover from this. I'm only four months in. I know now it's going to be a long road. I think inch by inch is so true.
I'm so happy you are feeling great again. It's nice to hear success stories. Thank you for sharing. |
