I'll second Mark's thought on ear wax. It was the first thing I thought of when I read your post. I have squirrelly ear canals, I've been told, and this is something that is a recurring issue for me.

It might be good to have a doctor look in your ear to see if what the issue is... might give you peace of mind and help resolve it more effectively.

I really need to start looking at the original post date... I keep responding to threads started years ago!

I vaguely remember taking them out in the middle of the night.

When I woke up this morning, my left ear felt congested / muffled / stuffed up. No pain, but it is annoying and is also making my tinnitus / noise sensitivity somewhat worse.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this likely swimmer's ear or some other common ear issue that will go away on its own? I would prefer to avoid the trek to see my doctor unless I have to.
Maybe there was moisture trapped in there. Did you wash and dry them before you put them in? I have tinnitus and find a fan or AC going at night really helps while I sleep. Earplugs really bother me, I can't use them.

When you see a post, check the date in the blue line above the screen name. Greenfrog posted this comment in November 2011. He checks in a couple times a year, if that.

Thumbs up

So. It's still a viable topic.

Yes, it is a valid topic but you addressed your comments and questions to Greenfrog. I suggest you not expect him to respond.
