My doctor and i agreed on our original plan for January. Still planning on doing the progressive return starting with 3- 8 hour shifts during daytime and then 2 -12 hour shifts in days, then 3 -12 hour shifts. I honestly feel back to normal. Fog lifted weeks ago, no depression, barely any headaches, random dizzy spell here and there. I know i need to be careful seeing how i burnt myself out very quickly last time, so this time i am going to make sure i am taking the best care of myself that i can.
She said that since we didnt anticipate me getting well so fast, she doesnt want to push me back in. Luckily my state has state disability, so financially, i am not in any trouble or need to return immediately. She wants me to have as many pain free days as i can with a progression of activity in the next month to ready me for the hard work of being a nurse. I am back working out 4-5 days a week, no headaches during and no dizzy spells. I still take the cardio relatively lightly, dont feel the need to push myself just yet. i am starting to wean down on the nortriptyline from 80 to 70 mg. And just take it as i feel.
Read the book "you can heal your life" by Louise Hay. That combined with the Healing touch really jumpstarted my recovery. All the power of belief and knowing we have the ability to heal ourselves.
