Default WC Question HELP!!

I was out of work last year on WC and was NOT required to pay my insurance premiums...
However, just received an email (not a phone call or real mail) from my employer stating that it is my responsibility to cover my part of the insurance premium while I am out of work (I have been out since JULY)....
I'm going to go take a shower...am clearly upset and have a call in to my atty....I live in CT...when did the rules change or were they always like this???? Aagghhhhh...-_-

If you were paying a part of your premium through a payroll deduction, you are likely still liable for that.

Maybe it should have been deducted from your WC checks.
