Seizures that are infrequent will not necessarily show up on an EEG. Some people end up wearing a 24 hour plus EEG recording system to try to catch the infrequent seizure activity.
**My neurologist ordered an EEG on the "rare" possibility it may be a seizure. He did not think that was the issue. All of my various doctors have thought I just needed time to heal.**

Your caffeine intake is possibly a problem. Research suggests only a single serving per day of caffeine. It is an excito-toxin, meaning it excites the brain cells to the point of failure or fatigue. Add to this caffeine the Adderall and you have quite a mix.

The you add the Soma and hydrocodone and you are a walking pharmacy lab.

If these meds to not do much, would it be a problem to taper off them altogether and try to find out what your drug free state is like? **I am a walking pharmacy lab, however I am also a ultra-rapid metabolizer, so a normal dosage that would work for most, won't work for me. I have to have a lot more for my body to even get any sort of relief. I have been "drug-free" for many years and due to the chronic pain, that was what brought me to the doctor to get on pills to begin with. All of my doctors, including my neurologist concluded that being completely off pills would put my body under so much stress (due to the chronic pain) that it may make the current symptoms worse. Each medication was tested (I was taken off and detoxed and my reactions recorded) and none of the medications showed any signs of them being the problem of the black outs**

You could then try to get your brain detoxified and provide some supplemental nutrition to help it heal. There are plenty of post about the nutritional and supplement regimens used by many of us. We can repost if you need.

Are your various doctors in communication with each other? Have you ever had a pharmacist take the time to do a thorough assessment of your meds cocktail? **ALL of my doctors are in constant contact with each other (even my OB/GYN) and I have had a medication assessment. While they haven't come up with the correct mixture to completely help with my chronic pain they did conclude that the medication wasn't having any effect on the PCS symptoms**

The doctor that thinks your brain can heal while on such a load of caffeine and your meds is lacking in his knowledge of mTBI. **I have been cutting back tremendously on my caffeine amounts, which has been extremely hard, but that is one thing I have bee doing in attempt to see if it will make it better.**

This complex sentence has me completely baffled. <I am not "falling asleep" at my desk as they continued to document but according to the physical signs of a cerebral concussion out of the Psychiatric Manifestations of Neurologic Disease, Impaired conscious state or a brief loss of consciousness is the #1 sign.>**What I meant by this statement was, my work continued to state my symptom as "falling asleep" at my desk. BUT the physical signs of a cerebral concussion that came out of the Psychiatric Manifestations of Neurologic Diseases (Book?) state that as the #1 physical sign.**

btw, Are you a male or female? This can make a difference as hormonal fluctuations can be extreme with PCS. **I am 29 yo female, 5'2" and approx 115 lbs**

**All of my doctors, including my neurologist have said that based on my symptoms (or lack of), the only thing that will heal me is time and not over-stressing myself. While I don't put all my faith in my doctors and they could be wrong, they are all in constant contact and have all said the same thing-time.**

OK,

I finally found a reference to the book you mention. It is titled "Psychiatric Aspects of Neurologic Diseases: Practical Approaches to Patient Care" Small error in memory of the title. Classic for PCS or even anybody with stress.

I am surprised it is being referred to as it applies to psychiatric problems. Your dozing/spacing out events do not sound like psychiatric symptoms.

Have you had a comprehensive assessment of your hormones? Women's International Pharmacy may have a women's health specialist by checking their referral request at https://www.womensinternational.com/..._referral.html Many of these specialists have a higher standard for hormone balance that the generic ob/gyn.

PCS can cause some strange aberrations in hormonal balance.

Also, have you had a thorough evaluation of your upper cervical vertebra? Inflammation in this area can effect blood flow to the brain. Holding the head still in the same position can exacerbate any inflammation.

Just some ideas to check.

My best to you.
