I would like to know how you progress with therapy and what type therapy you are offered. I assume WC is paying the medical? take care
Hi Jinga,

I'm not sure what the next step for me will be, I guess I will find out what the recommendations are in about a week or so. I know I'll be referred for counseling, and hoping also to follow with a Neurologist.

Yes, WC is covering the medical...but not so willingly. This eval. was ordered back in August 2011...the insurance carrier has challenged this repeatedly and I have had several hearings because they have (purposefully) dragged their feet to present authorization. I understand the system all too well.

I will absolutely post my progress within the forum, I am hopefully that I am given the chance to go forward. This has been the hardest struggle of my life..any kind of stress releases a chain reaction for me...headache intensifies, vision becomes distorted, become very anxious, can't sleep and then the anger...it's a vicious cycle I am hoping to soon put an end too

I will tell you, when I feel that "anger" coming on, I remove myself immediately from the situation when at all possible...for at least 10 or 15 minutes...it helps me and has avoided many "more" hurt feelings...it's not always possible, but I try....

JuieRN,

Are your headaches constant? or do they come and go or start then fade or come on slow - do they have a pulsing sensation or a dull pain - The neurologist has asked me a couple of time if my headache pulses but I dont really get that sensation until it is in the 8-10 range

Also - I have been presribed a steroid burst 3 times in the last 4 months - this someone helps but not sure if it is really helping - overall it decreases the intensity. I think the constant headache seems baffling to doc but I continuously feel it
