I have a Mild herniated disc in my C-4 that's pressing into my spinal cord slightly I am considering starting spinal decompression therapy, I am concerned that this might aggravate my PCS Symptoms. if anyone has had any experince with the spinal decompression therapy i would certainly love to hear your thoughts, Blessings everyone

Theres also the option of getting an epidural steroid injection for bulging discs that are irritating the nerves. This would probably be your first step before going as far as to get surgery.

You might also be able to do a core strengthening physical therapy protocol with Med-X weight machines. This can stabilize the muscles around the spine and sometimes bulgine and even herniated discs can resolve themselves when the spine is stabilized.

As my physical health has been improving, the pain and neck issues I've been dealing with due to the accident have been decreasing. I'm also still improving a lot cognitively. Whether the two are related I have no idea.

I'll reassess my situation in another 6-12 months and see whether I want to try injections or decompression or other things. My neurologist recommended more PT the last time I saw her, but I really think as my strength increases it will be able to better support my spine, head etc..

nwsmith1984 - I already see a chiropractor who has many years of experience. He's very good. I want to stick with him, I've been going to him regularly for over a year now because of this accident and I think it's important for me to stay with the same practitioner if I can but thanks for the advice!
