I found Caillou on Netflix. Hurray!

I'm on my third 3 minute interval with no ill effects.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI.

Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain.

Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms.

Slowly but surely regaining my life back.

Nick,

I still have problems watching tv. The more active the movie, like Harry Potter I couldn't watch. I have to close my eyes. I'm improving greatly but I have yet ventured out to the theater. The last time was horrific.

Yesterday I stopped by a friends house. They have a huge 70 inch tv. They also have it so close to the couch. The lobster fisherman show was on. I was watching and carrying a conversation when all of a sudden my head started the whooshing sound and it got loud. I turned away from the tv and it quieted down. I waited a couple of minutes and looked again and again the noise started. So I turned away from the tv and tried to carry the conversation on.

I am so glad I didn't buy that huge flat screen awhile ago. lol!!

After I left my friends house I will say that my symptoms continued long into the night. So I'm thinking today would be a good day to rest. :0)
