Default Grapefruit and medications

Here is a link to information about drugs that have contraindications related to grapefruit juice. Some benzos, anti-anxiety, and antidepressant meds are on the list.

Mark's list is good.

I'm not always trusting of Wiki, however, their listing is a good one. They did a good breakdown compared to some of the sites I usually visit.

Its important to watch food interactions with medications, especially Grapefruit, since some of these drug interactions can lead to rhabdomyolysis which isn't something anyone wants to see or have.

Medication update: Topamax 200mg twice daily it seems to minimize daily headaches to a 1-2/10 quality(I still know they are there); and acute headaches erupt without warnings.

These lists keep changing. And now some research is also suggesting other citrus should be avoided too.

This drug checker is pretty good. You can put in grapefruit and
any drug you want to investigate.

Just keep in mind that not all lists are 100% accurate.

The Mayo Clinic is so concerned about the list changing, they do not even list the meds that are a concern. I had to go to wiki to find a list. They just tell you to ask your doctor or pharmacist if your meds are on the list. I would ask the pharmacist. They are usually more up to date. Doctors are too busy to read all the literature.
