I came across this success story tonight...it's about someone that suffered head trauma and experienced symptoms for 4 years. Apparently after just one work-up from a chiropractor, they are symptom free. Maybe some of us could benefit from this?
Check it out: http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Brain...ptom-free-last http://www.NUCCA.com <---This is the website to find a doctor in your area.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI. Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain. Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms. Slowly but surely regaining my life back. |

We have been talking about NUCCA for more than a year. It stands for Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.
Some have noticed improvement, others saw no difference. I tried it for my neck and did not see a difference. It can be very pricey. The initial work-up is about $400 to $500 then $40 to $50 for each of 20 to 30 treatments. Insurance does not usually cover the initial work-up because it is chiro based X-rays. It can be a good way to get an insurance company looking up your @#$ when they see all of the bills.

Yeah I guess its a hit or miss type of deal. It's either going to work for you or not. I might possibly see improvements, considering my neck was sore for awhile after the injury...and I also had some weird popping thing going on for awhile. I haven't experienced any neck problems for awhile but that doesn't mean there isn't something wrong. I'm hoping the majority of my symptoms are being caused by the neck being out of place and my brain stem being compressed...*crosses fingers* Victims of Crime already approved me to get a work-up done on my upper back and neck. So its not an issue of whether my insurance would pay for it...its an issue of whether the doctor will accept VOC. There's only 2 in Las Vegas it looks like. I'm not going to get my hopes up...but if the doc will accept VOC I'm all for it. Definitely worth a try.

NUCCA is oriented at only C-1 and C-2. Many NUCCA chiros believe that if C-1 and C-2 are correctly positioned, the rest of the spine will self-correct.
The NUCCA chiro who treated me had only mediocre skills with the rest of my spine.
