Default How is your weekend going?

We don't get too many posts like this, do we?

Just thought I'd ask how everyone was doing this weekend.

Good? Bad?

How are your symptoms?

How did you spend your weekend?

Me, well...I had a BLAST with my son yesterday. I had him for a whole 24 hours and I enjoyed every second of it. We went for walks, I showed him the cars, trees, rocks and other outdoor things and told him what they were called. We played all day with his toys...it was fun. My symptoms seemed to be at bay most of the time, which was great...I made it through the whole 24 hours pretty well.

I became mentally and physically exhausted during the drive back to his mom's to drop him off. Perfect timing. I slept like a baby last night LOL. I miss him already.

Today, I'm not feeling so fresh...I think its a "crash" from yesterday's events. So I'm probably staying in bed most of the day.

How is your weekend going?

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI.

Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain.

Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms.

Slowly but surely regaining my life back.

Em id say pretty good, looking forward for tommorows PT appointment.
Spent all weekend at home, spent a bit more time then usually at laptop but mostly rested. Havent got any new symptoms.

My muscles still hurts from last appointment but that doesnt bother me.
My right side of the head is still big lol and hotter then left so nothing new, medium headaches these days.

I made a new discovery, since all of the other body injuries have been healed, i cant keep my head in straight position, it kinda leans on right side, and when i try to keep it in straight position like it should be my neck hurts, and it hurts on left side even more when i try to lean it to left.

Were you the one that said there wasn't a NUCCA specialist in your area?

It sounds to me like you can use an adjustment. My head also leans to the right...it doesn't hurt when I try to keep it straight but I have to force it to stay straight or it falls to the right. After my adjustment it's always perfectly straight, though. It's gonna take awhile before it sustains.

Im glad to hear your weekend is going alright. No new symptoms? That's great!!!

Good luck at your PT appointment tomorrow.

What country are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

I will see if I can find one for you.

I had to do a couple hours of work yesterday so I'm almost non-functional today due to headache, muscle spasms and pain from them, unclear thinking.

I got suddenly ill again on Saturday afternoon after my first singing lesson in months. Since the symptoms initially felt pretty similar to severe PCS dizziness and confusion I thought I had done myself a big mischief via blood pressure from opera singing.

So I was very pleased to find that I developed a temperature, sore throat and a bad, chesty cough. There's a sentence you don't see every day!

So the good news is that I think I can still resume my singing, once I get rid of this virus. I think perhaps I need to do less weights at the gym, I always seem to get ill after about a month and a half of this but I thought now that my lifestyle is so healthy my body might cope better. Will stick with the exercise bike since aerobic exercise hasn't made me ill in the past and is good for brain health (once you've recovered to a certain point that is!).

Thanks for asking!
