How awful that workmans comp did such an irresponsible thing. What an awful withdrawal from a medication and complete relapse into depression. It just shows how strong you are that you overcame all of that and was able to step away. My heart goes out to you. I'm praying your medication comes to you soon!

Thanks everyone for such kindness. Being on the emotional rollercoasting I am teared up from all the encouragement. My meds were overnighted by a pharmacy that fights wmc if you currently have representation. My attorney is great. Im exhausted and restless. I am waiting on restarting the lexapro due to my reaction to having to stop. Im scared of it. lol

Thanks again...

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I appreciate your honesty and strength, but most of all your openness to share. You will no doubt help so many of us who read this post.

It took 2 years to get my medication worked out for my depression! I am now on 60mg of Paxil and finally feel emotionally well.

It was extremely negligent of them to stop covering your medication! A friend of mine stopped her medication and ended up in emergency with a severe migraine and continuous vomiting. Once she was finally ready (medically/ psychologically) to discontinue, she was weaned off slowly and said she was fine with doing it that way.

Hugs to you and all others who find themselves in what I refer to as, "that dark hole". We are here for you and we understand and have been there. You are not alone!

Hi Crystal

I understand your fear of Lexapro, because you had to stop it all it once. The drug does have a good reputation, but you were not treated right with it. It should have been tappered down. I wouldn't fear it, unless there is a chance this same thing could happen, where they wouldn't give the drug again, forcing the same situation. Hope that you can get on a medication and get to stick with it. I take Zoloft. I would have to be weened off that too. This med. however does work for me, and I have been taking it now for two years, since my last spinal fusion. I do get relief from the worst of the depression. Hope you get good results too with what your doctor has you take. ginnie

Be careful - not taking it even after having to stop cold turkey can make those "bad" feelings go on until you completely withdraw from it... call your Dr. and discuss it with them. Do what they recommend. It might be best for you to continue to take it but remember to taper down when it's time for you to stop taking them.
