Default Inner Ear Issue?

Does anybody know if an inner ear problem can occur from concussion or what inner ear issues can carry similar symptoms of PCS? I'm starting to think my problem may inner ear rather than PCS. I'm starting to have some dizziness that I would assume subsides early in the recovery process (concussion was 2 months ago). My ears also pop every time I swallow and tinnitus is present as mentioned in an earlier post. No sensitivity to light/tv/reading

There are a number of ear issues that can result from a concussion. The stapes bone can become dislodged or even broken. There are some tests that can be done. One uses puffs of air into the ear. I'm not up on the ear issues. There are others who have had extensive ear testing.

Tinnitus can be a nerve issue rather than an inner ear issue. I have had tinnitus for 15 years.

I don't think the inner ear can cause non-ear PCS symptoms.

Saw my doctor yesterday and he thinks all of my symptoms are due to allergies. He did a fairly simple neurological exam and said I was fine despite my concerns with my recent concussions. Wasn't quiet what I had expected but makes sense with the fluid in my ears and said I have very swollen nasal passages. He prescibed me a strong allergy steroid and Flonase. Hope it works!

Have you been checked for a perilymph fistula? Also an ENT hearing test might be of value. Particular DPOAE.

Keep us posted. Your symptoms sound more PCS than allergies, however i hope to be wrong.

Martin, perilymph fistula fits my symptoms perfectly from what I researched. Do you know what kind of treatment is involved to cure it?
