No I did not have to take that test. I answered a short set of questions that was geared towards my emotional health but not a personality test. That mmpi test from what I know is used to rule out malingering I believe.

Yes that was the very last test given at my eval. Have no idea how I did on it becuase there was no scores to validate the results.
Has anyone else had a 7 page report in paragraph form with no scores/scales/raw data included?

How can they have you submit to such an evasive and long test and not provide an outcome or result? Sounds fishy or that there is something in the result that the WC doc didnt think helped their position

A paragraph only report is not uncommon. The NP often does not want the subject second guessing the diagnosis. Any WC attorney should be able to get a copy of the scales. The raw data will be harder to get because it needs copyrighted charts to convert.
In many states, you have a right to the full report including the scales but not the raw data. Once you get the scales, I can help you understand them if you need help. You can PM to me if you want.

Well I left it to God and He pulled through. I got a call from my lawyer yesterday, they approved treatment with the same nuero psychologist and they have reinstated my TTD payments on continuous. I have my appt next week!! I am so relieved right now that I cried! I will let you all know what type of treatment he will be doing with me.

What is the type of treatment you are getting. What are your specific deficits

Jinga, My biggest deficit is my non-verbal processing, and visual depth perception. Such as looking at things and having to figure them out. I showed a moderate amount of difficulty when it came to the non-verbal testing...ie. trail-making, placing events in order. I am undergoing psychotherapy with the nuero psychologist. There is nothing more he can do for me besides talking it out with me and retesting me as the weeks go on with certain things. Recovering from a concussion is spontaneous and there is no timeline or cure. At least by having a sympathetic ear, it can stave off depression and help with anxiety. He is trying to get me back to a place where I can return to some type of work, but we can't even see where I'm at yet since I am only 5 months post accident. He said that it could take months or years but I am getting better. I will tell you that this summer has been a killer between the heat and sun. He encouraged me to exercise more but I think I overdid it one day and set my symptoms off for almost a week. Its so important not to push yourself past the limit. |

My doctor put in a referral for the Acquired Brain Injury clinic near me and they said I have to wait 6 weeks. A few weeks ago they called arranged for a home visit. I took a series of cognitive tests and at the end of it all he says I could use their help. He's putting in a referral for a specialist that will be a 2 month wait. At the time of the assessment I wasn't having behavioral problems but now I'm angry all the time and I worry about it because usually I'm the one that cheers everyone up. Should I call him back to tell him of this?

I have just received a neurologist assessment date for next week. Don't know what to expect but they told me it's 3 hours long!!!! Oh my! That'll end me for the week. Any pointers? I'm afraid they'll say it's all in my head.
