2 visits & $150 later, B. Therapy didn't do anything for me.

Glad it helped someone else.

I can check off that, chiro, and accupuncture from my list of things to try.

Neurofeedback and Neuro Cranial Reconstruction are the my two possibilities, besides time. And they're the most expensive, I believe.

They might not do anything either. You don't always get what you pay for.

That's the tricky thing about medicine. Every body & brain is different, so nothing might help. Maybe a miracle will happen someday and info on healing nerve pain in the roof of the mouth after a TBI will show up.

Maybe a moderator knows.

While Epley might help...they say there are specialist who do this and are trained.

as for my case I can tell you So many people suggested this, but the ENT told me I was not a candidate as it is not related to PCS. My specially trained PT assessed me twice, and she said I do not have the dislodged crystals. Because of the PT I am going to be going to a head and neck specialist.

sorry if it sounds like I am a downer....not trying to be as Mark you have a great deal of knowledge and I am taking a lot of your ideas with me tomorrow to my workers comp dr...who cannot get why I am still unable to function.

For those who can't afford an Epley therapist for diagnostics, a do it yourself try may be helpful. For the desperate person without funds, it's worth a try. I would not consider an off-hand comment that it will not help to be valid. A diagnostic and comment that it will not help is needed. If it works, the benefit is like a night and day difference.

Wink PT assessment

I had an assessment done by the PT on an expensive machine...I think they cal it the Balance Master...probably the wrong name, but it assess in several areas and my results in January were not great and my overall score was 66. The same test was done three months later and except for vestibular the results showed some improvement but I still got an overall score of 66. I have been told that Wii Fit has a similar tool for the training for improving balance, so my husband got it and now we have to set it up....if only my grandkids lived next door they would show me...but they have not been by recently. Anyway, I will let you know how I improve

The Epley Omniax Chair sounds very worthwhile if you can find a clinic that has it.

If you are looking into lifestyle remedies, be sure to check out Dr. Nedley's materials. He is oriented toward depression, but his stuff is all based around brain health and it did a TON to help my post-concussive symptoms as well as my depression. My headaches have been gone since going through his residential program.

Default alternative medicines

Hi Cheryl, in regards to your TBI, I have seen some very good recommendations here. my summary of things that would 'assist' but not cure the symptoms of the TBI include going the direction of natural with inclusion of prescription meds where needed to direct you towards balance and recovery. Fish oil (neurological +), B-12 & B-complexes (neurological +), N-Acetyl Cysteine (cysteine vs. carniteine to neurologically act as a free radical cleaner), organic veggies continued, magnesium (headaches/cramping/depression) and Do Not forget to take a mineral supplement (vitamins naturally require minerals in order to function/benefit the natural body). The recommendations for personal therapy can be assisted by the resources available to you-yoga, meditation, spirituallity all improve cognition, mental health resulting in better physical health. You have to make the decision/time to invest in those for a good return on their investment.
Every little bit helps you re-balance.
