Hi!
5 months ago I hit my head 2x within a few minutes of each other and was diagnosed with TBI. I have been settling with lots of symptoms, and am unable to return to work yet. The one that really puts me in a tizzy is not my balance, migraines, dizzy, vertigo, left sided weakness, cognitive issues or even my nystagmus...what really gets me is the fatigue! I was started on nortriptoline to help with vestibular migraines in March. Soon after, I started feeling this horrible uncomfortable fatigue. Nit just really tired, but flu like....it was awful. In May, my neurologist had me wean off of it e cause of y fatigue complaints. Now I still had some extreme fatigue when I was off of it, but the episodes didn't last nearly as long, and were more just take a nap tired. But, I became very dizzy again, with true bouts of vertigo frequently. So las Thursday, I went back on nortriptolin 25mg....today I have the extreme fatigue and am miserable. Do you think it's the medication or coincidence?? Help! I hate this!! Wendy |

Are you on a vitamin regimen ? Having your brain on a good nutritional regimen at least helps you know you are giving your brain the best chance. Have you discovered anything about why you may have fainted ?

Hi!
Yes, I passed out from low blood volume due to dehydration. The physiatrist recommended vit D, omega 3, vit b...this week n Wednesday I am actually meeting with a nutritionist ....there has to be some special way o convince this brain to heal more quickly!! So should I tell the dr I want off nortriptoline? There has to be something else to try for the vestibular migraines, right?? ![]() |

I am 7+ months with my injury. I'm on topamax for the migraines. I have terrible fatigue but only my brain gets tired. Even on the topamax just my brain no increase or decrease. I am not having any side effects on it but I'm titrating slowly.
