My pain has not faded in 36 years. I have a theory that the pain thresshhold in my brain was permanently lowered. I no longer take pain meds; I consume them.
Yet I continue to hope. And pray. Praying's good.

I've read that, over time, taking pain medications can actually lower a person's tolerance for pain too.

That's good to know, thanks. I've only been taking pain meds for a few years, surprisingly.
